I really enjoyed this course, the modules were fascinating. The audio lessons were both informative and enjoyable. I have definitely learnt a lot about the day to day lives of medieval people.

Yes, I enjoyed the course very much.

Thank you very much for your email. I did indeed thoroughly enjoy my course. I found every single module fascinating and I loved the way that each queen was linked with a thought provoking theme. I found the lectures extremely enjoyable to listen to and I shall enjoy listening to them again and again.I also found it extremely helpful to have the transcript to read.

I have loved this course and I have learned a great deal. It is well-constructed and very accessible, which makes learning a real joy. Thank you to all concerned.

I was absolutely mesmerized by the lesson on Anne Boleyn's coronation. It was well past time to shut the computer off but I read a paragraph and the "story" of her coronation was so real, colorful and exciting that I couldn't stop reading.
Thank you so much for such professional work that allows me to continue to learn and occasionally find myself back in 1533 as I did last night.
Sandra June 19, 2017
I love these courses. I learned a lot from this one and all the others. Keep them coming!
Sandra Warfield August 20, 2018
Very interesting and well presented.
Janet Avery October 23, 2019
I found the detail incredibly well thought out and quite informative. These courses are such a joy to me- as a life-long student of history, I find myself more and more intrigued with each segment. Thank you for providing such a quality course!
Deborah Harsen March 26, 2018
Thank you for letting me try out this course during your trial period. I really enjoyed all of the modules (20!) and learned a lot of things I didn't know before. Toni Mount's research is great, and Claire Ridgway's reading made learning a joy.
Tudor Guy Everyday Life of Medieval Folk December 3, 2015
I love the course! I love opportunities that give me the chance to step into the Tudor world and learn, and this is perfect! I love the flexibility, as you guys know I have very little free time. This course gives me the opportunity to learn at my leisure. That is so great for people like me!!!
Laurie January 7, 2016
I enjoyed the whole course. I learned so much but I didn't know how complicated the subject is. And I was surprised about the canceling of Christmas. Well- planned course and well-written.
Sandra Warfield September 20, 2017
Yes, I did enjoy it. I found the whole course interesting and informative.
Mary August 23, 2016
I really enjoyed the course. It was very interesting and i particularly liked the stories of individual people that were told. Looking forward to more courses here! Thank you!
Melissa Leister February 12, 2021
I absolutely loved everything about the course. I enjoy being able to read and listen to the course material. Each module has been fascinating and with just the right amount of detail. I have loved each module so much that I shall definitely read and listen to the modules again and again. I especially enjoy doing the end of module quiz and I found the family trees extremely useful. I was surprised by the televised trial and I was totally engrossed in it. I loved the video of the poem written by the Poet Laureate. I found it beautiful, thought-provoking and moving. Thank you for a wonderful course.
Elizabeth January 10, 2017
Enjoyed this course very much. Would have loved to have videos sprinkled along with the recorded lectures for more variety. But overall the course quality was excellent. Liked all the examples and stories.
Barbora Bell October 29, 2020
I have done several courses and enjoyed them all!
Laticia Wolter September 13, 2017
The courses are great and I hope to take as many as possible. Not having a deadline is nice and no final exams or papers to write!
Sandra October 21, 2016
Richard III has always been a particularly fascinating historical character to me: the mysteries surrounding his nephews, Richards supposed villainy at odds with his acts as a King, his heartbreaking losses of wife and child, his undying loyalty to his brother....contradictions abound! So this course, as others I have perused, only served to intrigue me further. What I would give to have that moment (or two!) with a contemporary, reliable source!
I was not expecting a decidedly pro-Ricardian stance - not that it swayed or determined any frame of mind I have or questions I have- I was expecting a more "cut and dry" formula. Was rather surprised and pleased to have personal opinion inserted into this extremely well-done and presented course!Deborah June 29, 2017
This is first time taking a medieval course, it opened my eyes to the life that women led at that time, (very different from novels and movies), it was a challenge, but the effort was worth it.
Muriel May 4, 2023
I have thoroughly enjoyed this course, and plan on taking many more from you!
Amanda November 14, 2016
I love everything about these courses! I love how they are taught and proceed! Thanks so much!!
Julie March 6, 2017
I was not expecting the depth of detail....I really enjoyed this course- and found it through studying past courses. I just finished reading "Heroines of the Medieval World" by Sharon Bennett Connolly and would suggest this be added to the suggested reading list as many of the women discussed in this course are found in this wonderful book.
I also enjoyed, in particular, the referring back to peoples introduced at different times of this course. Well done!Deborah Harsen June 29, 2018
I have really enjoyed this course. I knew a fair amount before, but there were so many little details and case studies, it has given me real insight into the lives of medieval people.
Jen Morgan March 28, 2021
Although I thought this course rather brief in its materials, quite an in depth study was provided. The C of E has always intrigued me as I was raised Lutheran and not only enjoyed learning about Martin Luther but Henry VIII- particularily as he was so against Martin Luther's leaning initially. I find it fascinating how politics and religion try time and again throughout history to convince people they are "seperate" entities but are so completely intertwined and almost inseperable.
Deborah Harsen March 26, 2018
Loved it. Bring on more please
Debbie August 28, 2016
I enjoyed every minute of doing the course, as a relatively recently new member of the Richard the III Society it has given me a very good basis on which I can build and learn more. I can now contribute to discussions more. It has also along with some other sources helped me finally make a decision about what I believe happened to the Princes, not that I doubted Richard's good character for a minute!
The course is well set out, clear and easy to understand. Easy to start, put down and then return to again so as it can be fitted into a busy life. I think I may well go on to do the heroes and villains course when I have the money to do so.
Caroline June 23, 2016
The course material was very comprehensive and helped to finish the course.
Very intriguing history of early English royals.Barbara Cole March 28, 2021
I am enjoying the course as they are filling in some blanks, I did recreational history at Kentwell Hall for 30 years and am OK on the Tudor stuff but I felt I had gaps in the early stuff, so am using the course as a jump-off point, and I am having fun.
Michael September 1, 2020
Easy to access and full of great information, renowned historian and medieval author Toni Mounts explores the world of the medieval period in her course “Everyday Life of Medieval Folk”.
With the course online and able to be accessed throughout the year you are able to study in your own time, at your own pace, and in the comfort of your own home! With twenty units focusing on different people and occupations of the medieval period there is something for everyone in this course.
Finally there is a medieval course available for everyone no matter where they live in the world!
Sarah Everyday Life of Medieval Folk December 9, 2015
I have very much enjoyed this course and have definately learnt more about Richard III as well as the Tudor era.
Luisa Short March 3, 2020
I loved this course, but I found it the most challenging so far of the ones I've taken. There is a lot of detail in this one and a lot of names and dates. Overall, it was fun and I am going back to read and listen to all the course materials again.
Sandra March 23, 2017
I really enjoyed the course because I feel like I know so much more about women in the medieval and Tudor period, as I don't think there is enough information readily available about them.
Rebecca Morris November 29, 2019
Very clear and concise.
Marie February 22, 2023
I attended one of Toni Mount's history groups, and yet the course has still been very enjoyable and informative.
Christine January 23, 2017
I loved this course. I enjoyed listening to each lesson and I learned so much! It was a privilege and a pleasure to listen to the lovely and clear narration. I intend to take further courses. Thank you for all the hard work it must have taken to put this all together!
Valerie Canosa October 1, 2017
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this course and I've learned so much. I read most of the lessons and listened to Claire for two of them. It's very hard for me to remember dates and titles and it is confusing when people are referred to by their place they are associated with instead of their names.
It's wonderful that these lessons are available at all times because a review, I'm sure, will be helpful and supplementary to my own reading and research,
I have signed up for another course since I've loved this one so much.
Sandra August 24, 2016
Another enjoyable course! No criticisms!
Laticia Wolter May 8, 2018
I love it already!
Cherri November 29, 2021
This course is such an eye opener into the life and times of both women and men and also the mention of children . The units are both balanced and reasoned and can be absorbed. Yes a brilliant course .
Paul Barnett November 23, 2020
Absolutely fascinating - I have learned so much.
Wendy A April 18, 2017
I really did enjoy this course. I was a little skeptical because the Reformation isn't my favorite subject but I learned a lot.
Kimberly Finney November 23, 2020
I absolutely loved it. I am currently researching for a TV series about the wars of the roses, so this gave me lots of help and ideas.
Rebecca Morris August 20, 2018
I found this course really informative and enjoyable, I have learnt a lot about both the Wars of the Roses and Richard III. The course had much more content then I was expecting in just ten lessons but the half hour lessons were just the right length to listen to one at a time. I look forward to taking another of the Medieval Courses!!
Jennifer April 11, 2016
Really enjoyed it. These modules are a nice length and well constructed.
Wendy February 22, 2023

Sandra Akin May 17, 2020
I have immensely enjoyed this course and came upon it by accident when I was surfing the net looking for info about Richard III. Following his discovery in the car park, I have become very interested in him and the history of the wars of the roses.
Thank you very much for this course, it was a pleasure to study.Debra Bienek January 18, 2021
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for making it so interesting.
Helen Thompson September 3, 2021
Very interesting information on specific criminals as well as more details about the formation of different police forces and origins of uniform and equipment. All in all a very informative course, which I enjoyed very much.
